FAQs
Which quality should I choose?
60–80% is usually indistinguishable from the original on screen while saving a lot of space. Go higher for print.
Why isn't PNG offered as an output?
PNG is lossless, so a quality setting can't shrink it. Converting to WebP keeps transparency and is normally much smaller.
What if the result is bigger?
Already-optimised images sometimes can't get smaller. We tell you when that happens so you can keep the original.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The image is processed by your own browser and never sent to our servers.
